Be Patient Momma

Wowa! Yeah, I totally went there. Let’s just get down to the nitty gritty today… patience is hard! Can we just all nod in agreement on this one? Mommin’ is hard, relationships are hard, keeping the laundry pile at a minimum is extremely hard. Am I right? Heck, if we are being totally honest here, life in general is just plain hard sometimes!

With hardship, messes, piles of work, and multiple interruptions comes that ever so difficult task of having patience. This is a huge struggle for me on a daily basis. I have to remind myself that it’s ok to let the little things go and I can totally take a breather if I need one. Do you have a hard time staying patient throughout the day? Is stress a factor? Check out 10 Ways to De-Stress After a Long Day to get some pointers on how to find that self-care, me time! Taking a moment to take care of you, so that you can learn how to have that patience you desire is essential!

Psalm 40:1-2

Short & Sweet
Psalm 40:1-2

I love this verse. It’s beautiful, but so incredibly easier said than done. Waiting can be extremely difficult and the idea of waiting patiently… holy smokes! Even more difficult! However, we can find comfort in the fact that God ALWAYS hears our cry. He knows our suffering and our anguish. He will bring us out of the pit we are in and place us on solid ground, in His time. Patience.

Call to Action

Take a moment to rest with the Father today. Just spend some time reflecting on areas of your life that maybe you don’t respond quite as patiently as you would like. Lift those areas up to Him today. Give your small struggles of obedience and patience over to the Lord, let Him guide you! This is a wonderful first step in learning to patiently await the answers you need for those larger areas of struggle, those deep pits we find ourselves stuck in. Be patient my friend. Baby steps!
